Globe Valve summary

Globe valve has good regulating performance, sealing performance is not very good, the structure is simpler than the gate valve, the manufacture and maintenance is more convenient than the gate valve, the fluid resistance is larger, the price is cheaper than the gate valve.

Globe Valve Choose the standard

1 high temperature, high pressure medium pipeline or device should be selected cut-off valve;
Such as thermal power plant, petrochemical system of high temperature, high pressure pipeline selection of cut-off valve is appropriate;
2. The convection resistance requirement on the pipeline is not strict, that is, the pressure loss is not considered;
3. Small valves can choose globe valves, such as needle valve, instrument valve, sampling valve, pressure gauge valve, etc.;
4. There is flow regulation or pressure regulation, but the adjustment accuracy is not high, and the pipeline diameter is relatively small, such as nominal diameter ≤50mm on the pipeline, should choose the cut-off valve or throttle valve;
5 in the urban construction of water supply, heating engineering, nominal diameter small pipeline, can choose cut-off valve, balance valve or plunger valve, such as nominal diameter less than 150mm on the pipeline;
6. Suitable for steam and other media pipelines below DN200;
7. Not suitable for medium with high viscosity;
8. Not suitable for medium containing particles easy to precipitate;
9. It is not suitable for the valve of vent valve and low vacuum system.
